Likely hung on the wall in the kitchen, this wooden cup would've held cooking utensils or eating utensils. The wood is in remarkable shape after 100+ years thanks to the natural sap lacquer. There is fading in some places, however, it looks like an intentional design. The handle of the cup is shaped into a familiar Korean motif with a tasseled thread used to hang from a nail. We'd hang it on the wall as art.
